PURPOSE
The Department of Homeland Security university centers of excellence (COEs) have established a COVID-19 Supply Chain Initiative under the leadership of the CCICADA COE based at Rutgers University. As part of this initiative, CCICADA and the CEEZAD COE based at Kansas State University have organized this series of two workshops on COVID-19 vaccines.
The purpose of these workshops is to address the roll-out of these vaccines and:
- Identify research challenges and relevant tools and methodologies that might be of help with the current pandemic;
- Identify important topics for collaborative and interdisciplinary reserach across the COEs, and to foster partnerships involving government, the private sector, and academia.
- Identify key lessons learned from the current situation that can help us be better prepared for future disasters.
