Millions of Americans attend sporting events and other entertainment at our nation’s stadiums and other large venues each year, supporting an estimated $40 billion dollars in yearly economic activity. Due to their iconic value, visibility and the large crowds they attract, these venues are potential terrorist targets. CCICADA’s Best Practices in Anti-Terrorism Security in Sports Venue was written to guide owners and operators in developing and strengthening the anti-terrorism readiness of their large venues and also to help those who wish to submit an application for security-insurance coverage under the federal Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies (SAFETY) Act. The guide is also a resource for the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Safety Act Implementation (OSAI), which makes a copy of this guide available on the DHS website in managing the SAFETY Act Program.  Download pdf of report
